Thanks =)Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: A degree is not essential to be recognised as a photographer, although it will give you a lot more experience in taking pictures, and the art of being able to capture and compose a good photograph!. I would suggest investing in a good quality camera, Digital SLR cameras are good, they allow you to focus the aperture, shutter speed etc either manually or automatically!. Take your camera with you everywhere you go in case you see something unusual, this will help build up your portfolio!. I have a photography book called "How to photograph absolutely everything" and its fantastic!. I would reccommend buying it!. Practice makes perfect, and the more you learn and practice your photography, the better and more recognised you will be!. Good luck and I hope you become a great photographer!. This will build your confidence, contacts, knowledge, techniques, etc These assisting jobs are so in demand unfortunately!. Do a search for events photographers in your local area and start from there!. He never went to uni!.!.instead he learned everything he knows now from his uncle who is a Master Photographer!.
