In the Style manual i created i used the following copy to explain the use of the companies colors: Primary Logo Colors: Consistent use of corporate colors is critical to the effectiveness of any corporate identity system!. The official colors used in the Verte logo are shown at left, as Pantone colors and as CMYK process color!. These are the only acceptable colors for the Verte signature!. (included swatch examples with the pantone and cmyk equivalent) When the logo is placed on a light-colored background, the black or color logo should be used to maintain a proper amount of contrast between the logo and the background!. When the logo is to be used on a dark-colored background, the white version of the logo should be used!. The four colors at left are the official colors of Verte Markets!. When possible, it is recommended that these colors be used within the design of the store and communications!. Darker colors are suggested for the use of a reversed logo!. Although we prefer our logo to be used in the normal fashion we understand reversing out the logo is sometimes necessary and may only be used with the approval of the Creative Department!. If necessary, the logo may be reproduced in black!. Gray shades are not recommended and may only be used with the approval of the Creative Department!. No other color treatments are permitted within the logo!. Secondary Colors: Additional design may be required separate from the flower design in the traditional company colors!. In instances like this we prefer to use natural colors that you would find in the produce section of a grocery store!. As shown throughout this style manual the vegetable color feel accompanies the colors of the corporate identity and emphasizes the organic feel the company tries to represent!.
