Drafting is about communicating information instead of emotions like art!. In drafting your drawings are expected to be dimensionally accurate!. You will likely be introduced to perspective as well!. As some have mentioned CAD is Computer Assisted Drawing!. For a sample of CAD there is a free download available of a CAD program called Alibre!. http://www!.alibre!.com/ It is not likely what your school will be using but it is a fairly good one, even the free version!. ------------ Peyronius is right about the lettering, they want you to learn to print letters all over again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I've used CAD for a few years now!. We use it at work for our Telecommunications engineering projects!. It may seem hard to use the Autodesk programs at first since there's like a million things to learn on them but the basics should be fun for you, especially if you get into 3D!.Www@QuestionHome@Com You'll be doing some cool drawings, but plan on spending a lot of time working on your printing!.
