Watercolour pencils look like normal pencils but the lead is water-soluble!. You can use them a few ways:

Draw with them on watercolour paper, then add water with a brush to blend the colours, making it look like a watercolour painting!.

Draw on wet paper and watch the colour spread - gives very intense colour!.

Wet the tip of the pencil with a brush and use the paint you pick up as you would normal paint!.

Or you can just draw with them - they make the best, most highly pigmented pencil drawings ever, and there's no waxy finish like other coloured pencils!.
