Question:

I have a project that I have to do for my art class!. For that project I want make something!. But whatever I make, it has to have a theme!. These are following themes that my teacher gave:
?Love
?Sadness
?Equality
?Hatred
?Jealousy
?Anger
?Fear
?Beauty
?Loneliness
?Freedom
?Peace
?Friendship
I just have to choose one from the above list!. Can you please tell me what I can make that will show any one of the above theme!? Please help!. I am out of ideas!. HELP!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1 way to do this project is to look inside yourself,and find out what each one of these themes means to you!.Base your project on this perspective of it's emotional impact on you,then come up with a visual of what you see,experience,feel or think!.To prod your mind a bit,I'll give my ideas on your themes!.Love =many things to many people,a child's love for their parent,a parents love for their child,etc!.Sadness=a single tear drop,equality=same as hatred!.child and a puppy,a man and woman working side by side,and so on!.Hatred=Darkness you'll have to find on your own,but off hand it means pain and suffering to me!.Jealousy=A green monster!.Anger=see hatred!.Fear=the unknown!.Beauty,a child laughing,a rose,a sunrise,sunset,the ocean!.etc!.Loneliness=An elderly person walking alone!.Freedom=movement,expression,open to interpatation!.Peace=unity,brotherhood!.Fr!.!.!. playing,people talking,etc!.I hope this helps a little!.Much luck with your project,I'm sure you'll do it well!.One last thought,pick one that you can have some fun with!.PeaceWww@QuestionHome@Com

Old person asleep in a chair in the afternoon Sun is always good for Peace, add a sleeping (old) dog at foot and you have Friendship or Love!.
Black and white kids playing in a street = Equality!.
One cat watching another at the bowl of milk is Jealousy!.
Old woman looking into hand mirror and reflection showing younger one is Beauty
Kid sitting alone eating lunch in playground is Loneliness
Kid patting down soil of grave of pet is Sadness!.
You could go the "out of left field" approach for the theme of Equality or Peace by drawing the bridge between two neighbouring countries currently at war with each other (or ideologically opposed)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Equality would be easy enough to represent in art--look at Kandinsky or Blinky Palermo or Sol LeWitt for the use of balance and graphical equality!.

Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe screen-prints are an interesting commentary on beauty!.

Bruce Naumann's video exhibits are virtually a paean to fear!.

Marsden Hartley's German Soldier paintings have always been a really intriguing meditation on a love lost (he had a relationship with a German soldier who was killed in World War One!.)

Just the first examples of the above that come to mind--but you may get inspiration from one of them to create your own masterpiece!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i dont know what type of painting you want to do!.!.!.abstract, surreal, still life!? but i like the idea for anger or hatred to paint the canvas all black, then do like a rough stencil like painting in the middle of someone screaming and looking mad!. then all around it get some red paint and splatter it on around it!. but make it splatter so that all the paint is splattered away from the person!. ha i don't know but just a thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

choose LONELINESS and paint a girl or boy on the swings by him/herself with like a whole bunch of people in the background playing on the monkey bars or something like that!.
