I would describe the figure as relaxed strength!. I always notice that David has very large hands in proportion to the rest of his body!. This emphasizes the figure's strength!. Art is not necessarily supposed to look realistic, but rather the disproportions in the figure tell us how people see the ideal or emphasize a certain characteristic!.
