and he is a master with watercolors!.

I know of several artist in the guild I belong that use only watercolors!.

I paint with acrylics and thin the acrylics with water to acheive a watercolor effect!.

Take a few classes and try watercolors, you might like it!.

I find watercolors very forgiving!. If your starting out with them work in very thin layers and build up your colors layer by layer!. also experiment, there are many different types of styles used with watercolors!. I do though recommend nylon brushes cause you can get cheap ones and they work very well!. If you really get into the medium then you can invest in expensive natural hair ones!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi,

I advise you to try several mediums (or should I say media !?), namely wet and dry ones!.
You don't have to stick to one medium!.
Find which ones you like best!.
I enjoy using more than one since I feel that it helps my development as an artist and opens my horizons!.
Let me finish by telling you that watercolour is one of the mediums that most demands for the quality of the materials!.
Using good brushes and paper is really important!.
I use Coatman from W&N and Arches!.

It's brilliant and for me, was a good starter towards acrylic!.
It doesn't render darker tones though!. I alternated between traditional watercolor tubes and watercolor pencils (to get a darker look)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's all I ever use!. :D

Takes some getting used to, though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is nice to work with!. It is hard to get darker values though!.!.!.for that I use India Ink!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
