Printing large is the photographic equivalent of shouting LOOK AT ME and works well with simple subjects like this!. I also gives your audience the view they would have if they used a magnifying glass on the leaf, the detail they don't usually see!. You could try a massive crop (or better yet, rephotograph it to keep resolution as high as possible) get rid of the top and bottom third leaving just the middle third, what do you think!? If you can rephotograph it try to find one with an insect, spiders web or small lizard in the centre to provide a focus (or 'hook') droplets of water also work well (be careful of reflections), you have to give your audience something new to look at, preferably something to discover (the 'hook'), then they keep looking!. Pictures like this have to be technically perfect, perfect exposure (which yours has), perfectly sharp, (which means a tripod to totally avoid camera shake) because enlarged to this extent even the smallest flaw will shout at you, and your audience!.
