Question: Warhammer Painting - Motivation!?
I'm having serious issues keeping myself motivated to paint my minis!. I started the hobby about a year ago, but with all the gaps in between I've probably only been painting for 6 weeks!. I'm definitely not a bad painter and I would really LOVE to improve my skills through experience!. It's difficult for me to finish a whole model, let alone an army!.

How do you folks find motivation, and how do you keep painting for long periods of time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm currently working on an Ork Apocalypse army!. Talk about needing motivation!!! Seriously though, my best motivation is learning a new technique!. drybrushing, inking, washing, metallics, etc!. Talk to some of your other gamer friends and ask them about their techniques!. Take what advice they give you home and try it out!.

If you're in the US, try to attend Games Day!. I went to Baltimore last year and couldn't put my army down for weeks, because I had seen so many new things that I just HAD to try!.

White Dwarf is excellent for new ideas as well!.

No, I don't work for GW (but I wish I did) so this isn't a shameless promo!. Just one mildly obsessed gamer trying to help another!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
