When you use the "format" feature on your cameras menu, it will delete all the files and folders on the card and then write new file folders and an image index file, ready to accept your new image files!.

Formating is done after you have copied all your images to your computer and made sure they are safely there !.!.!. then format the card!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
