Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ISO 1,000 is rather high for outdoor, daylight use, unless you really want your aperture and / or shutter speed to be small / fast!. You used the same setting for night time and it came out grainy!? What camera do you use!? Can you please upload a photo to two to show us!? use http://www!.flickr!.com (Yahoo owns it) and provide the link(s)!. This software (a plug in for Photoshop) helps, too!. http://www!.kodak!.com/global/en/professio!.!.!. I am guessing that you're using a point and shoot!. In any case, all digital cameras have higher grains / noise when used at higher ISO!. For dSLR (larger sensor then a point and shoot one), it's not so bad!.
