Question: Is there a "best" time of day to take pictures where the lighting and colors are best!?

Usually the best time of day is either in the morning or late afternoon, near sunset, when the sun is lower in the sky!. I've found that the WORST time of day is right in the middle of the day from about 12:00 - 2:00 pm!. The light is too harsh when the sun is directly overhead and colors get washed out!. I use both digital and 35mm film, and this seems to be true for both!.

I would suggest maybe around either 9:30 in the morning, or around 5:00 pm are the best times for pictures!. Of course, sometimes that isn't always possible!. That's the best time for landscape pictures!. For people, it might be a little different because you need different lighting and don't want them to be half-lit in shadows!. The main thing is just avoid taking pictures at noon, if possible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on what you are photographing!. If you don't want a lot of shadows!. Try taking photos in midday!. If you want your photos to have a warmer feeling, try taking photos in the early morning!. It's all about setting the right "feeling" you want to project!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
