Not a legal age to work I think!. And this is more than being a good photographer, too!. You have to be able to relate to people, as in, tell them what to do!. For example, if you were an event photographer at a formal party, the guests will most likely take an order (and I hate to say it that way) from someone older, than someone of thirteen!.

However, if you have a relative that is a photographer, you can be his assistant!. This person will hopefully teach you what you need to know!. If you approach a professional that you don't know, it's unlikely that they will take on someone so young!. (It's the law, I think, that someone of your age can't work, at all, or for so many hours)!.

Or if there is a family function (hopefully have a lot of relatives)--you can take loads of photos, and if they like them, they should be able to pay you money!. You're comfortable with them and this is a good practice for you!.

There is plenty of time in your future!. Meanwhile you can sharpen your photography skills (behind the camera, not in front of the computer, I mean) so time is not exactly wasted!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

At this point you probably can't get a job!. But you can go around to local photographers and ask to tag along and observe their work!. Through that you'll gain experience and perhaps even be able to use those people as references when applying for a job!. You can also advertise among friends and family!. They are usual supportive and will help you in whatever way they can!. Don't worry if you can't get a job now, just keep learning all you can and in time more opportunities will present themselves!.
