Question: Famous paintings to copy!.!.!.!?
(I'm in grade 9) It's a school thing - I'm looking for at least 5 well-known paintings to copy using a few different mediums!. I've drawn the "Girl with a Pearl Earring," in colored pencil - It wasn't that good, but it was a start!. I'm thinking of drawing the mona lisa - -I've tried once, but never finished it; sorry the image's so faded!.!.!.

I enjoy drawing people, but not with complex backgrounds, like lots of foliage, and portraits!. Something like Van Gogh's Starry Night, for example, would be too complicated too copy very accurately, since the strokes are too hard for someone's who's still learning!.

Any suggestions, please!.!.!.!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
These may be too hard but you could do close ups of the famous bits!?!?

Mona Lisa- Leonardo Da Vinci
The Scream- Edvard Munch
Composition with red, black, blue, yellow and grey- Piet Mondrian
Whistlejacket- Stubbs (horses are hard to draw though but showing your teacher you have had a try could be impressive)

Other artists which could be useful:
Frida Kahlo
Degas- dancers, famous horse
Cezanne- nice still life etc
Derain- bright fauvist colours, simple shapesWww@QuestionHome@Com
