Nope, not at all!. Xray machines do damage film, but memory cards are completely unaffected!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

NO!. The level of radiation is to low!. Film is on the other hand more sensitive and can be ruined!. It is different like the information on a computer chip in your cell phone!. It is unaffected by x rays unless extremely high enough to ionize the chip!. Which if it were we would run out of airline passengers!.:0)Www@QuestionHome@Com

avoid magnets!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.i dont mean rich old oil barons

only magnets damage cards or extreme heat, i have know cameras to be dropped in salt water and the images survived,

ps: i take film all over the world, I use a film shield and have never had any problems

No but if you bring your camera gear on a airplane I would go early and ask them to go through the bag by hand!. Some airports will do this if you arrive early enough!. also if you have a laptop in your bag they take it out anyways and open it up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I volunteer at a high school for at risk students and prisoners at the Justice Center!. I take my camera there all the time and have never had any equipment damaged by the Xray machines!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes they are!

The powerful rays will melt the cards into gooey little plastic blobs and all your images will be lost!.
