The most common plastic for transparent objects is clear acrylic resin which is sold in many craft and hardware stores!. You have to make a mold and use a release agent so the mold will let go!. There are many web sites with info under 'casting resin'
Plexiglas (solid acrylic) can be heated to about 240F and worked into shapes, but it is harder to handle because it doesn't flow much so requires a stiff mold and not much detail!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
