Most pens have ink in a tube and when you write it adds gravity!. With the gravity the ink moves down the tube and when you press with your pen on a piece of paper, there is a ball at the tip of the pen, the ball is pushed in slightly releasing the ink as you roll it over the page!.

It's like roll-on deodorant but on a smaller scale!.
