Scientifally i am not sure about it!.

But yes, one could surely be favourable over the other!. Since mirrors just reflect back what we see is the same what is infront of the mirror!. There are many types of mirrors like plain mirrors, mirrors which make you look thin, fat, round, tall, stretched and on!. So when such mirrors give different types of reflections back, we feel it is showing us something different!. When a fat person looks into a mirror, and if it reflects him back thinner than he is, he would surely prefer the reflection!. And if a fat person finds himself to be fatter then probably he might find his true self to be good!.

Now coming back to your question, the mirror shows you what you cant see!. Without the mirror you cant yourself unless in a video or photo!. So in anycase, we find our reflection more appealing since we can see it and see it move!.

I prefer my reflection over me coz, somewhere deep in my heart, i find my reflection to be more beautiful! But that isnt the truth!. No one can be more beautiful or appealing than their own self!

You questions are really very thoughtful!

Cheers!

We look at the mirror image of our faces in the mirror all the time!. In fact, we're probably more used to the mirror images of our faces than our real faces!. And since our faces generally aren't completely symmetrical, looking at the real thing might seam less appealing because we're not used to it!.

For instance, I had a friend who had her nose pierced!. She hated how it looked in photos because it was on the opposite nostril than what she was used to looking at in the mirror!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. If the glass is of poor quality the reflection you see may not be exactly what others see when thye look directly at you!. Other things like lighting in the room or the color of the walls may flatter or wash out your complection!. As well we tend to be more critical of ourselves then others would be and often focus more on what we view as our "weakness" rather than our strengths!. (I allways hated my nose , I thought it was too big and was so focused on that that I never once noticed that I have amazing eyes and a very cute lips!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

possibly more and less as is, note the mirror you see is inverted opposite to what others see, though it may make no difference to who you are anyways, the perspective to yourself can be boggling to comprehend how another facing you see your appearance slightly different,

Absolutely - depending on the mirror and the lighting!. A mirror can have distortions due to the glass used in making it and lighting in the area where the mirror is set will also affect the reflection!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mirrors show an exact replica of your face so there isn't much difference!. Only if you care about what side an earring is on or something like that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personally think the mirror image is better!. lighting!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
