The Neoclasical style was influenced by discoveries at Herculaneum and Pompeii in the 1740s and on!.There was an international excitement about this!.The imperial powers,ie French,English and many others adopted the style as their own,harking back to Roman and Greek splendour!.As these powers were colonising the world at the time they exported their ideas of granduer all over the world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
