where can I buy really good lenses for my canon powershot s5 is!? I'm into portriat photography!.!. would like an awesome telephoto lens and wide angle!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You will not get truly awesome results with any add-on lenses for your camera!. I only see a wide-angle add-on lens, which makes sense, because the S5-IS goes to an effective 432 mm already!. Portrait range is more like 85-105 mm (equivalent), so there is no need for additional lenses for that range!. There is no "better" lens to improve the image quality in your camera!.

If you want awesome portraits, you will have to satisfy yourself with learning about portrait lighting, which will help tremendously, or upgrade to an SLR!.

If you buy a Canon Rebel XTi or a Nikon D80, you will have a camera that you will not outgrow for a very long time!. Either camera comes with an 18-55 lens!. The 55 mm end would be right there in the equivalent 85 mm portrait range, so you'd be "good to go" for awesome portraits!.

If these cost too much for the budget, you will get very satisfactory results from a Canon XT or Nikon D40 and the same lens!.

If you are thinking of doing serious, professional level portrait work, you will want to go in the other direction, but I'll let you ask another question if you find that this answer does not cover your needs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think you need a telephoto lense with the zoom it already has!. Telephoto lenses with 12x zoom could cost up to thousands of dollars while the S5 has that in the camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
