On a simple level the image reads as a boat on a tranquil sea with two stars in a red sky!.There are many possibilities for other readings of the picture,some are objective and some subjective to the point of fantasy!.Different readings are likely to come from people with different experiences of life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Wow this picture is fantastic! Very emotional and very promising artist it is!. The calmness of the see and the ocean breeze add colors of the night!. I also think that there's something unusual in the boat!. I didn't see any person to drive the boat!. Maybe they are hiding!. There's something fishy inside the boat!. I think a couple is doing something that we don't have to see!. It adds the intensity of the picture as we see the color is red!. Something bloody is within!. But very romantic though!. ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com It takes place during sunset which resembles many things: death, an end to a beautiful day, closure!.!.!. An ocean(made apparent by the boat) is the perfect place to watch the sunset thus supporting this may be a sunset!. And a boat on the ocean is the perfect place to watch it!. The stars(being that there are 2) could represent two "star-crossed" lovers on the boat watching the very last remnants of the sunset disappear into the ocean!. The warms colors represent passion to me, thus supporting the romance of the 2 lovers!. Very nice painting! Simple and strong!.
