Help with editing my photo?

Question: Help with editing my photo!?

I have a free editing program called Photoscape, and I'm trying to figure out how to change my picture all to black and white and then go back and make one object in the picture colorized!. Like if I had a black and white picture of a rose and I just wanted the rose red!.!.!. how do I do that!? Is it possible with Photoscape!? If not, is there another free program I can download that I can accomplish this with!?

I haven't used photoscape, but what you describe is easily done in photoshop using the history brush/panel!. Just switch your photo to black and white, then select in the history box the original state of your picture, select the history brush and paint over the black and white image!.!.!. the colour will return to the parts that you paint!. because you have photoscape , you can make grayscale image copy of colored picture, then use paint to select object from color, then paste over b&w,

if you want you can try gimp with use of layers and duplicate image, change layer to grayscale/ desaturate, erase objects on gray layer, colored layer shows through,

with online tools like FotoFlexer , you can also use layers to duplicate method of color over b&w,
