Vietnam - children caught in a napalm attack!.!.!. one of the most powerful (and politically influential) images ever made!.!.!. it helped to stop a cruel, counter productive and pointless war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know why but I knew this was the image it was going to be!.

Yes, I remember!. Now even images of flag draped coffins awaiting their final plane trip are supressed here in the US!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That was probably the biggest single image that changed the course of the Vietnam war!. It shocked the people in the USA!.

The photo is the aftermath of a napalm drop by USA forces of the people fleeing!.

The press did an outstanding job in finally getting out the truth about Vietnam!.

Napalm is a horrible weapon that is still used to this day!.

The girl in the middle, with no clothes, was finally found years later, still suffering the scars from her ordeal!.

It darn well does communicate!. We do not necessarily know that this is a napalm attack, but seeing the children fleeing the fires behind them is enough to tell the story!.

I remember seeing it when it was first published, but that might relate to my age as much as anything else!. I don't remember WHERE I saw it or what I was doing, if that's what you mean!. Not like the Kennedy assassination!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it communicates the horrors of war!. I can't remember when I first saw it, but it was a while back!. When I was a kid, we'd watch footage of the Vietnam war on tv, so I grew up watching the war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
