2h!. The H means "hard" and they are rated starting at H, then increasing in hardness!. The harder the lead, the lighter the line!.

9H is the hardest and is actually grey and very thin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

2H!. You can go all the way up to 5H, which is so hard it barely shows!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
