1st one- i don't think you should change!. it's great!. great focal point- great composition, 2!. if you let the light from behind peek out just a little bit more, it would have given it a nice lens glare that could have brought some mystery to the overexposed parts and given a direction for the eye- but still a good pic!. 3!. create a shallower depth of field- and if not wanting to use a computer to enhance- invest in a lens filter that is going to give you more saturation!. you want the attention to be soley on this lonley flower and lonley grave- but you can't when it just kinda blends with the rest of the picture!. also maybe a little less foreground - and always try different angles of the same picture!. it can really change the emotion of a picture :) 4: again if not wanting to use a computer, get a red lens filter- this will create a greater contrast when shooting black and white- which is exactly what this pic needs!. it would have made the wheel barrow much darker, and stand out instead of blending and getting lost in the picture!. hope that helps :) your doing good though- just some tweaks and yes using diffusers and reflectors is a good idea- lighting is key in composition, focal point, emotion !.!.!.everything! it can make or break a photo :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Photos are more artistic than 99% that are out there!. I wouldn't complain!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nothing's wrong with them!. There is a variety to look at!. I think personally the first one is the strongest - good contrast and a good focal point!. The third one of flower and grave brings up some emotion!. Keep snapping shots!. The more you take the more you'll have to choose from!.

also play with lighting - go out at different times of day/night and snap away!. Look for the unusual!. Those are the pictures that stick out in peoples minds!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Look up info!. on composition!. Having the subject in the very center of each photo reminds me of how they take photos for driver's license!. You have chosen excellent subjects!. You might also try for variety some pix with more than one subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it looks ok!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

OMG I luv them!. Especially the first one!. You're very talented!. I wish i could take photos like that!. Keep up the good work :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

The first one there isn't enough contrast (the main element in shooting black and white)!.

The second one might have something to do with the horizon!. It takes up so much of the picture that it distracts from the tree!. Try a lower angle!.

The third one, there is too much distraction in the background!. Try cropping tightly around the stone!. And maybe a bit more light in the pic!.

The fourth one I like just the way it is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok your making a basic mistake!. Make the image in the camera not the computer!. So use lights, reflectors, difussers et cetera, studying photography will help your shots alot!.

So your major issue is light and lighting and light sources, these are arranged when one makes an image, not later in a computer!.

EDIT: Senor signomi (sorry) if i have misunderstood you!. Simply photography is about light - the better something is lit the better the image will look!. Get some difussers and stuff!.!.!.!.

actually the first one is pretty good!. the rest are boring because you're taking pictures you think everyone else wants to see!. don't do that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's nothing wrong with them, but here are a few tips to make them even better!. You sometimes follow the rule of thirds, so try to follow it most of the time!. Your angles on some are average; try going to extremes: above, below, and to the side!. The good thing about digital photography is that you can take as many images as you want and preview what they look like!. Take risks!. Sometimes the weirdest angle creates the best shot!. Don't delete any photos while you are still shooting!. What looks funny on the camera could look good on print!. With your current images: try cropping them to follow the rule of thirds or try cropping off most of the area around your subject!. It maximizes the impact the subject makes!.
Remember that photography is all about a personal opinion!. Someone may love a shot and another may hate it!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's easy to critique photos after the shot!. I'd say you are on your way if you notice details that interfere, like the wire, before the shot!. Sometimes it can't be avoided, and you can resort to computer magic!. Most people don't notice, especially when photographing people, and they have poles or trees coming out of their subjects heads!.

The wheelbarrow has one distracting weed in front of it, but otherwise is good!. I like how the board and it's shadow seem to be one!.

The gravestone has a lot of clutter in the foreground, leaves and twigs, but it really gives the forgotten grave impression, so it works!.

For the tree, were you as close to the ground as you could get!? That may have made it stand out more!.

The hood ornament and it's contrast is good!. I really like the light on one side and not on the other!. You might play with aperture setting for depth of field!. You can either bring the entire car into focus or make it more out of focus!. I would probably prefer the latter, but sometimes fool myself!. That is the great thing about digital cameras!. You can see the results right away, unless your screen is stamp size!.

GOOD JOB, overall!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

keep shooting, and analyze your own work, do any of the photos give you the wow factor, what do you like about them, what don't you like about them!. sometimes you need to look a little deeper, be more intimate!. i see the poor wheelbarrow, and understand what you were conveying, but essentially, it was just a photo of a fallen wheelbarrow!. look closer, experiment with angles, and focus!. good luck, and don't give up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
