Vasarely was a Hungarain, born in Pécs, HUngary on April 9th, 1008!. His birth name was Gy?z? Vásárhelyi!. He originally studied medecine, and then switched to arts!. I searched the net but could not find the name of his parents!.
If you think that it would help you I will check the school library tmorrow (I live in Hungary and have connection to Pécs where u hvae Vasarely museum) and/or some books at home on Friday!.
