Question: How can I add watermarks on my photographs that i'm going to be posting online!?!?

I don't want anyone to steal them, or take them, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any programs that would do this, or how I could do it myself!. Thanks for all the help!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Any photo editing program that has a text or type tool, like photoshop, will be sufficient!. Watermarking, or adding text to an image is sort of complicated!. Not in the action, but how the action is taken!. Typically to add something to an image that was not already there requires the addition of an adjustment layer, to be done properly!. Sure, you can open an image in MS paint and 'write' something on your image as a watermark, but that actually changes the image by removing pixels!. That is known as destructive editing!. With an adjustment layer, you add your watermark to the existing image in a separate layer using the type tool (the use of which automatically opens a new adjustment layer for you) which is non-destructive and embeds the watermark within the image instead of on top of it!. You really need a program like photoshop to do it properly!. Plus, photoshop has a wide variety of fonts and brushes that you can use to really personalize your watermark instead of ?john doe!.!.!.!. You can also use photoshop to embed your personal information within the EXIF file of the image, which is also a way of 'electronically' watermarking!. Yeah, photoshop is an investment, but IMO it's a must have for any kind of visual artist!. There are many imitations, most of which I have used and none of them come close to CS2!.

i use a program called VicMans photo editor and you can use text to put ur watermark on them!. i love itWww@QuestionHome@Com
