Question: What exactly is Language Art!?

Hi Guys, im working on an assignment on Language Art , im wondering!.!.do all novels plays and poems considered works or art / language art!? if not all of them are, how do we differentiate those that are works of art from those that are not!? They are refering to any language craft!. Poetry, novels, drama, i would consider journalism too!. Is your question how do we define written work as art!? In that case if the piece has a function it is not art!. Writing a textbook for example, although it takes an experienced craftperson, is not art because it has a function, to teach people about a certain topic!. Poetry has no practical function it has an ideal function!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
