I am a junior in high school and am aspiring to become a photographer!. I do not have an expensive camera but I may consider purchasing one!. Here are some unedited pictures:

The cat pictures are poorly "framed", but good color and focus!. The harbor photos are also good, but taken on an overcast day, leaving an unclear, somewhat foggy image!. There is nothing you can do about THAT except try it on another day, or another time of the day!. The next step is to purchase professional equipment and lenses and go from there!. Try starting with outdoor photography and getting a macro (close focusing) lens!. You might enjoy insects, animals or flowers!. If you are using 35mm camera SELL THEM and switch to digital, which will actually SAVE you money in the long run!. Don't be afraid to enroll in some photography classes at the community center or college!. You learn faster this way, and it will be money well invested!. The 3rd one looks like a tourist took it (in a bad way, srry)!. Maybe take some classes!. It reminds me of the images you see like that in travel magazines!. The image of the ship has some spots!. They look like dust on the camera sensor!. Or, spots on the lens or glass window (!?)!. A simple point and shoot camera in the hands of a creative user will be able to make very impressive pictures!. If you wanted to move up into the DSLRs, that would give you many more features that would expand your capabilities!. Those pro-sumer DSLRs will not automatically make you a pro!. Something to think about before make such a purchase!. Keep up the good work!.
