Question: I need help remembering what this was called!.!.!.!?
well, i know what this thing looks like, but i forgot what it was called!.!.!. you know, how when artists paint and stuff, they put their paints on this flat brown thingy!.
and that flat brown thingy has a hole so the painters can put their thumbs through it ( i think it has that!.!.!.)
does anyone know!.!.!.!?
its a brown flat thing that painters use to put their paints on, and they hold it in their hand!.!.!.

It's a painters pallette !.!.!.you can actually see them in some old paintings by Thomas Eakins, Rembrandt, and others!.!.!.very popular with serious painters up to mid 20th century !.!.!.after world war 1 many artists began working much larger and began mixing medias and working out of large cans of often store bought paint!.!.!.for this and a lot of other similar reasons we needed a larger surface to mix our paints on!.!.!.hence the demise of the pallette !.!.!.when I started i used one but soon a banded it for a larger surface for my acrylics!.!.!.!.chasWww@QuestionHome@Com
