Her name is Dorthea Lange.

Dorothea Lange worked for the US government documenting the plight of displaced tennant farmers during the Great Depression. Mnay migrated to California seeking fruit picking work.

She helped inspire John Steinbeck's classic novel "The Grapes of Wrath".
