BizParentz has had SO many requests regarding the "Disney Open Calls" that we contacted Disney corporate to clarify who is who!. They were kind enough to give us the real scoop!.

Apparently, Disney Channel (not Disney as a whole) is holding legitimate auditions in several cities over the next couple of weeks!.

VS!.
the scammers (talent schools) are also advertising their "open calls" with very similar marketing!.!.!.in fact, the scammers look more "Disney" than the Disney ones at a glance!!
They use celebrity voices, reference Disney shows, and they flat out say the word Disney!.

So here's how to tell the difference!.

Listed below are the ONLY real Disney calls!. They are doing auditions, BUT they are 'generals' (let's use the right terminology--these aren't open calls)!. A "general" means that there is no specific role being cast!. The casting directors are LOCAL CDs (who are fabulous to see!) but they are not the Casting Directors that are assigned to a regular Disney show!. There are several pilots Disney is casting, so this is just about throwing a wide net out there--GENERAL!.

Talent at the real Disney auditions have been given old sides from Hannah Montana or from Mongoose and Luther (Zeke and Luther is the same show!.!.!.they changed the name recently) or other existing shows!. They are just using old sides--it doesn't mean you are auditioning for a part in that show (again--these are GENERALS)!. No fee involved to audition!. Most auditions are arranged with agents in each city!. They did allow talent to contact the CDs directly (making it appear like an "open call"), but you were supposed to have done that by 10/28!.

These are the local casting directors that are holding the Disney calls:

Minneopolis/St!. Paul -- Lynn Blumenthal Casting
Chicago -- TPR Casting
Southeastern States -- Fincannon & Associates
Southwestern States -- Kathryn Brink Casting
Texas -- Beth Sipko Casting

EDITED TO ADD: DO NOT CALL THESE OFFICES NOW!. Contacts with them should have been done several days ago!. I only posted so that if you have an audition scheduled with their offices, you will know it is a legit Disney sponsored audition!.

ANYONE ELSE IS LIKELY NOT DISNEY, and is out to get your money!

So how do you spot a scam!?

1!. Disney is NOT advertising on the radio!.
2!. Disney does not use the term "real Disney agent" (no such animal as a Disney "agent")!.
3!. Disney is not using D-list celebrity bait such as Adrian R'Mante from Suite Life of Zack and Cody (who hasn't been employed by Disney for over a year)!.
4!. Disney is NOT holding cattle calls where you stand in line for hours to have a 5 second meeting with someone!.

And of course, lastly,
5!. Disney will not charge a fee-they understand that they are supposed to pay YOU!.!.!.not the other way around!.

Go to the REAL Disney auditions!. Break a leg! But don't be fooled by the scammers!. And please spread the word!Www@QuestionHome@Com
