I've been involved in community productions & many school productions!. People suggest I go and get a trustworthy agent!. But I don't know how!. && when I said get bigger, I don't mean to become a Disney star, heck no!. I don't want to get caught into the Disney Syndrome!. I want to do real acting!. So before we begin our journey- can you grab some popcorn and pizza!? It's going to be a long time before we reach our destination :) Anyways!.!.!. you are already off to a great start! Directors want to see that you have commitment to your passion :) And community theatre requires alot of commitment and patience! Try taking acting classes!. I got discovered at my agency by taking their acting classes! So what happened was I really wanted to become serious about acting and get some professional classes!. So I start taking the classes in the fall of '07, and in February the Agent of the agency where I was taking the classes, asked my acting coach to see some of the material we had been covering!. Evidently, she watched a video of some commercial we did and then the next week she told me she wanted to sign with me!!! I was ESTATIC! And the rest is history! That story doesn't happen to everyone, but its possible if you take some classes at your agency or some acting studios you could get discovered too!. Do some research online too, and find a good agency near you, even a few hours away if you know its reputable!. From there, you can email the agency your resume and some recent pictures of yourself if you don't have any headshots!. If they're interested in you, then they will request you come and audition for them!. You will usually prepare a monologue for the audition!. Then if they are interested in representing you, they will call you back within a week to let you know! But remember, right now, for teenage girls- its very, very, very competitive and there is not much work out there at ALL! :( But we just got to be patient, and my agent told me usually around 18-21 is when the business will pick up, because at 18yr you can work longer hours on set!.
