Question: I'm auditioning for my school musical Aladdin on Monday!. Can somebody give me tips please!?
I've been waiting for this since they said we might be having a musical this year!

This is really important to me and all I need is tips on how to have a good audition and make me stand out to the judges!.

All answers will be greatly appreciated!.

Oh and any other tips you would like to give will be great too!.

try to understand the personality of the character you want!. why the act they way they do, why they do certain things!.!.!.etc!. practice your audition song, but don't strain your voice!. on the day of your audition, try to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible!. wear your favorite outfit, listen to music, whatever you want!. while you wait, read over your lines and run through your song!. if you have to learn a dance, practice that one more time!.
other tips:
-don't eat any dairy or chocolate or drink anything cold!.
-try drinking tea when you warm up your voice!.
-do not judge people when they audition!. (i believe in karma :] )
-stay positive, yet realistic!.
-if you don't get the part you wanted, don't feel bad!.
-if you didn't get a part at all, you can still be involved with stage crew, set design, maybe even be a student director!.

i agree with the first answerer!.
also, start practicing you audition song now!. just dont lose your voice!. (knock on wood!)
-room tempurature water, not cold or hot!.
-act friendly to the people you are auditioning for, or the teacher!. everyone loves a fun actor!
-dress simple!.
-be positive!.

Make sure you get a good nights rest before the audition!. Drink plenty of water!. About 20 minutes before the audition do some stretching and vocal warm up!. Most importantly- relax and have fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com
