It's a massive line load!. Your ability to scan all those lines for their meter, understand every word and sentence, memorize them and perform well is a big project!. also, he is rarely offstage, so it is physically demanding!. This is about the biggest and most difficult role an actor can take on!. You would need to be focused and extremely disciplined so that you were taking care of your mind, body and spirit during the entire rehearsal and performance process!. Working out, getting plenty of sleep, watching your diet carefully, steering away from junk food, alcohol etc!. These things would be necessary to allow you to maintain the creative energy needed to pull off this part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's such an overdone play that making sure it's not a clichéd performance would be the first challenge!. Other than that, justifying constantly how aloof Hamlet is being in spite of how his actions are affecting those around him, even when he ends up killing Polonius (I think it was) and goes overboard with convincing himself whether or not his father's ghost is telling the truth (what with the whole play-within-a-play "trap" he sets)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

One major problem is that the actor may lack the skill and talent required for the role and play!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
