Question: Why does hamlet have the players put on the play "the mouse trap"(or, "the murder of gonzago")!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Hamlet uses the Mousetrap to determine if Claudius is innocent or guilty!. Hamlet believes that by Claudius watching a play that resembles the murder of King Hamlet, his conscience will be revealed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow!.!.!.Seriously!?

This isn't even a question you have to have read the play to understand!. The answer does not require intellectual rigor (of which you are apparently incapable anyway), interpretive prowess, or cognitive leaps!.

Here's a pro-tip, though, because I almost feel sorry for you!. Consider what the play-within-a-play is about!. Then think about who is in the audience!. Then consider the circumstances of Hamlet's father's death!. Connect the dots!. Profit!.!.!.!.Or, in your case, get a C on an essay covering a play for which you couldn't be bothered to even read the cliff's notes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
