Question: A quesion about monologues!.!.!.!?
If I were to take an excerpt from a play, and during this excerpt another person says something (not of great Importance), and I just skip over that part, and continue on as if it were just one long speech, would that still be considered a monologue!? Or like if I were to pause for a second and then act like I'm answerig a question, would that still be appropriate for performing a monologue!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's fine, as long as the context of the piece remains the same!.

On a cautionary note, only do it with a Shakespeare piece if you know what you're doing!. Badly edited Shakespeare will stick out like a sore thumb, particularly if it interferes with rhythm and structure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ya that would be fine!. What you could do though if the line is of some importance!. have an imaginary partner!. and take a pause when they are talking!. it works really good i just saw a monologue to day where some one did that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
