Question: Hamlet Pickle!!! Help Please! Xx!?
Hi guys and girls! To cut a long story short me and my husband got tickets for a family member to go and see Hamlet with David Tennant in it as he is a huge fan of his!. Now David is no longer playing Hamlet, the tickets are for next week and the family member no longer has any desire to go and see it! The tickets were nearly £100 and meant to be a Christmas present and now we are stuck with them!. I cannot sell them as no one wants to buy them, I cannot get a refund as the show has not been cancelled and I don't really want to go and see it as it is not really a form of entertainment me and my husband enjoy!.

If you have any ideas on what to do with them please answer and let me know! Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer! Merry Christmas All! XxWww@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Sell them on ebay!. You probably won't get the money you paid for them as he wont be there!. :(

It's a dreadful thing because David Tennant has had to have surgery on his back, he won't be back till after christmas now!. I saw hamlet in August and it was amazing!. It's such a shame, if you cant get rid of the tickets the best thing to do is go see the show, its better than wasting all the money!.

ETA: if your family member doesnt want to see it at all ask around your friends!.

ETA AGAIN:

YES!!! I took along two mates and one of them it was literally a FORCE to make them watch it because they werent really partically interested in David or Hamlet!.!.!. because its Shakespeare!. But they absolutely loved it!.!.!. Patrick stewart was in it too and my mate who didnt want to see it is a massive star trek fan so it was a big supprise too! Our tickets cost £20 each but I got them LAST October!. It was flipping brilliant though, all modern, not boring or anything! Go see it!! I saw it in the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford apon avon!. I'd love to see it again with or without David in!. :D

It's Fantastic! Enjoy yourself!. Have a great christmas yourself!. :D :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

If you don't like Shakespeare,it wouldn't matter who was playing the lead role!
Go and see it,you never know!.
When the Globe theatre puts on a production,go there as it's vey entertaining, and might change your mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd give the tickets anyhow!. It was the thought that counted, and the person in question would be a ninny not to accept them and see the show, regardless of who's playing lead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can try standing in front of the theatre before the show begins and try to sell the tickets, but be careful!. "Scalping," technically, is selling $100 tickets for $200 because there's a greater demand for tickets than there are tickets!. However, nobody can accuse of scalping if you just try to get SOME of your money back and take a bit of a loss!. If you're in a position to be at the theatre, you can determine whether there are any tickets left and how many people are lining up for last minute tickets!. You MIGHT get the $100 you paid for them, but more than likely, you'll have to take a loss and try to get $50 or $75!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
