Question: Can I audition for the upcoming series "Oops" on Disney channel without an agent!?
Hey guys!.!.!. I really need to know this answer as soon as possible because i honestly think i have the potential!. I thought that you can send in a headshot, and a resume and they will get back to you!. If that is not so, please tell me what to do!.!.!.!!! Thank you sooo much God Bless =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

you can send in your headshot, but without an agent your resume will be put at the bottom of the pile!. I think its stupid and unfair because often the ids with agents are forced to have them by their parents and dont really want to attend auditions constantly, but unfortunatly thats the way it is!. You're best off getting an agent to get to the auditions, but an agent will never guarantee roles!. dont get an agent that want money from you before you get the job!.!.!.!.those people aren't real agents! if you are hoping to get into a particular show, it truly isn't worth your while as you need years and years of experience of auditions!. The majority of the kids you see on tv have had agents since the age of 3 and it takes them until their 14-16 to actually get a job!. Try doing some plays and musicals nearby to see if you enjoy the setting, auditions, and people involved!. if you still think the show business is what you want, get some local experience and get to auditions with an agent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Principal Actor Casting: I have removed the casting director information due to the fact that the casting offices has been inundated with phone calls, even though I never post phone numbers!. People take it upon themselves to look these casting directors up in a phone directory and make unsolicited phone calls!. It seems many of you are ignoring what all my casting information posts say, "NO PHONE CALLS OR PERSON DROP OFFS"!. Making unsolicited phone calls to casting directors is not only rude, unprofessional, ignorant, and arrogant, it displays an extremely high level of inconsideration of the casting offices time and resources!. This is the second time this week that I have had to remove casting director information from my blogs!.

I feel compelled to post, to correct a previous poster's information!.

"I think its stupid and unfair because often the ids with agents are forced to have them by their parents and dont really want to attend auditions constantly, but unfortunatly thats the way it is!."

That's a very sweeping generalization, and completely untrue!. Why would you assume that all kids with agents are just living out their parents' dreams!? Trust me, the kids who don't want to be at auditions are pretty easy to spot, and you don't see them in the waiting rooms more than a couple of times!. Why would a director hire a kid who doesn't want to act!?

" an agent will never guarantee roles!. dont get an agent that want money from you before you get the job!.!.!.!.those people aren't real agents! '

This is excellent, accurate information!.

" The majority of the kids you see on tv have had agents since the age of 3 and it takes them until their 14-16 to actually get a job!. "

Again, not true!. Many agents won't take kids on until they are four!. No agent would keep a kid on their roster who hasn't worked in 10 years!

"Try doing some plays and musicals nearby to see if you enjoy the setting, auditions, and people involved!. if you still think the show business is what you want, get some local experience and get to auditions with an agent!."

Again, excellent advice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
