It's not just about facial expressions and how well your voice carries (although they do teach those things!.) They also teach you about stage positions and movements!. And some camps and classes even teach you about stage lighting and props and stuff!.

Listening and reacting are two important lessons!. All good acting is really about those two things!. In acting classes, you learn to try to be as truthful as you can be, to be 'private in public', to learn 'techniques' that work for you, that allow you to be creative and imaginative!. They teach you the stage positions and stuff like that!. When you're practicing for a play or something like that; if you mess up, don't worry about it!. It's just rehearsal!.
