If you are talking about going to a conservatory opposed to a regular university then I can help you out!.

Basically when you are going to a conservatory for performance you are usually going for a BFA, and you will gain acceptance to the school based almost fully on your audition, rather than academics!.
It is good if you are willing to devote your time to performing and if you know thats all you want to do!. It is not good if you decide you want to change majors and you also usually don't get your liberal arts done unless the conservatory works with a partner school to offer courses!.
