one of the best tips is that you should not care how dumb or how crazy your voice turns out when saying lines!. like, if your voice is already sounding like a girlish high-pitch sound, just go on!. experiment! practice and perfect it!.

try also watching some movies or videos and imitate their voices!. just familiarize yourself with those 'voice techniques!.' then try to imitate them!. soon your voice will be more comfortable with different lines and roles!. this is a way to train and practice your voice and speech!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If this was a music theater class I would be scared, but since it is acting you really don't have to sing it out!. How do you express your self when you are sad or angry!? When I do acting I try to imagine it is me happening to me, that way I can get more into it!.
It also depend on what type of acting you are doing!? If you are doing monolog you might want to write a background about your character to help you get into it more!.
But If you really want to do acting or maybe musical theater then you should take voice lessons!. Have fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try warming your voice up before you act like you would before singing - sing along with good, range-y music in the car on the way there, do tongue twisters, etc!. Something else that might help is sirens!. (I don't know what the actual name is, but basically you take a deep breath, then go from the bottom of your register to the top and back again!. It's loud and awkward, but it helps!.)
Though you don't think about it as much, your voice has to be able to reach different pitches to have vocal variety!. If you aren't warm, you can't reach as many pitches!. When you're acting, make a point of choosing lines with which you can play with pitch, and make sure you're breathing properly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

George Clooney has a flat voice, and he's had some success!. Spencer Tracy was maybe the best film actor of all time, and he deliberately said most of his lines in an emotionless manner, so that when he did add emotion it would have a greater effect on the scene he was in!. Actors working with Elizabeth Taylor thought she was sleep-walking through her scenes, until they saw those scenes on film, and then they were amazed!. She did so much with her eyes!. Gary Sinise, John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, William H!. Macy, to name a few, rarely change the pitch in their voice!. There's more to acting than the tone of your voice!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Instead of just reading the lines, try to feel them, find out what is behind the words and pick an action (physical and/or mental) for all the important ones and go with it!. I highly recommend Boleslavsky's Acting the First Six Lessons!. We used that in my college level method courses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its not a matter of voice quality!.!.!.!.
its a matter of heart and eagerness to portray that role!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe you could try working with your vowels and stuff!? This would help get 'rid of the monotone in your voice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
