haha don't worry about it!. I've been in theatre all my life and dressing rooms are just common things!.!.!.

but if it bothers you you can buy a bodysuit, or just wear a cami and shorts!. it depends on the costume, but like I said, if you are self-conscious, then you can twist and turn and wear a cami and take it off after changing!.

anyways, don't worry about it!. chances are you won't be in a dressing room with guys, so why would it matter!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Without knowing at all your age, the venue or the production and it's budget, NO! you do not have to accept off stage changing without some screen!. Obviously it happens with mature cast members and rapid on off changes, but even small venues can accommodate respect for the performers!.

You are far too young to be submitted to this no matter the situation, and have the right to suggest otherwise!. Obviously the changes should be female costumers, even if they have to stand around you with black drops to make the change!.

If the director allows you, wear a leotard or something so that no one will notice!. However, if he or she denies your request, you're going to have to get over it!.

It's not a big deal!. I can understand that you're shy and uncomfortable, but this is the theatrical life!. It's just part of the job!. No one's going to say anything about your body!. Relax!.

I have a feeling your director will not allow this as you have to change into a strapless dress, but, it never hurts to ask and to voice your anxieties!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What about a one-piece strapless swimsuit!? Does that work!?

And then stand behind a screen!.

A screen is anything that is 6-feet high and stands on its own you can stand between it and the wall or a curtain!.

On the one hand, theater people are in their underwear in front of each other all the time!. On the other hand, you're in high school and the teachers should be able to set something up for you so you don't feel uncomfortable, either using clothing ideas, or screen ideas!.

You have the right to speak up and complain!.

Most anyone you talk to who had a thriving drama department with not-so-thriving funding in high school will have horror stories about the entire cast changing clothes in one big room!. We certainly did - we didn't have dressing rooms!. I've seen everyone I act with in nothing but their underwear, and I promise you, it's not that big of a deal!. They won't be staring at you or anything - they'll be rushing to help you get changed and do what they have to do!. Don't worry about it! Love yourself, trust the other actors, and you'll be fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, you can prevent the bra showing!. If possible wear a nude-colored cami, then deal with the undies, don't wear patterened, or white, do a soft pink or nude color!. The people helping will probably be female(if not, ask the director to find some females), ask them to hide you from peeping toms!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get a nude colored leotard at a dance store with clear straps on it!. I do it all the time, I have to do it in front of a bunch of guys and everything too!. It's no biggie if you got one on, I used to have people hold up towels or something and change but now that I got the leo I can do it anywhere!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you could wear a nude leotard underneath your costumes, i do the same thing for dance!. or you just suck it up and change and get back on stage!. honestly, when the time comes you won't care about people seeing you undress, you'll care that you make it onstage in time!. for my dance shows i usually have less than 30 seconds sometimes to change into a completely different costume backstage!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get a nude colored leotard and tuck in the straps for the strapless dress! I have been in tons of plays where I had to strip in the wings!. It's not embarrassing when you're doing it because you're too focused on changing in time for your next scene!. It will also be dark which helps with the nerves!Www@QuestionHome@Com

if the people that will going to dress you are girls also, that's all right!. just don't take off your shirt in front of us--boy's i mean!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

costume changes are no problem!. you'll get over them during rehearsal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to be in the play yes questions put on some clothes under it hope that helps!. I'm gonna be an actress when I'm 14 maybe!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I do think so!. You could always wear a strapless undershirt!. If they make those O_oWww@QuestionHome@Com
