As for your question, some may think it does, but it is really a matter of perception to each individual viewer!. Keep in mind that it was created for the purpose of making a profit so the wider the appeal is to the public, the happier the producers are!. Does the production PROMOTE gay relationships!?!?!? I personally do not think it does, but just like "broke back mountain" and some of the characters on a popular daytime soap opera, it DOES have a strong gay element to the story line!. A well known gay cult classic called "Rocky Horror Picture Show" is one that I think "promotes" a gay lifestyle but not the one you mentioned, and there IS a difference!.
