Beauty and the Beast Audition?

Question:

In about three weeks or so I will be auditioning for my high school's spring musical, Beauty and the Beast!. They've given us the audition songs, either Home or a small portion of Belle!. They're definitely doable as far as range goes!.

My only problem is that I don't have formal singing training!. I can sing, I don't have years upon years of musical training!.

Does anyone have any tips to make the best of my audition and to prepare correctly!? Is it even possible!? Thank you so much!.

also: for realism's sake let's just say that I don't have time to hire an instructor!. In addition, I should probably mention that I'm not going for one specific role!. I'd be happy with anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

first of all i know exactly what you are feeling right now!. i have been worried about that before too!. i have found that is you have fun and smile and just be yourself you are better off than trying your hardest to be something you are not!.
as for the singing try standing strait but don't lock your knees! try forming vowels and make sure you sing loud but not too loud!. you want them to know that you have volume because then they won need to worry about mic;s!. but if you sing too loud it dosent sound right!.

Just do voice stretches! This is coming from someone who does the musicals at her school, ha ha!. Just hit notes, for example ever seen high school musical 1!? Well when sharpay does that weird noise when she is getting ready!. Those are used for stretching out your voice so you can sing clearer and don't strain your voice!.
