Question: Did the director clearly convey Shakespeare's message in the movie "Hamlet"!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I have seen three _Hamlets_: Branagh, Scofield, Olivier!. Which film!? Or maybe one I haven't seen!.

"Shakespeare's message"!? What is it!? "Since existence is futile, better to be always prepared and know you will fail!?" "Be rash--boldness is better"!? "Values are relative"!?

I hope you haven't been assigned this question by an inadequately prepared teacher!. The assumption of a message is laughable!. The idea that films convey messages is dubious!. The lack of specificity about the film makes the whole thing woolly!.

I do think Shakespeare and clarity are not incompatible!. However, as asked, this question is unanswerable!.
