Question: Chicago: good OR bad for pursuing acting!?
Im a 20 year old male!. I live in Ohio, and I am thinking about moving to Chicago to pursue acting!. I would move to NYC or LA but I want to start smaller!. Plus, I'm in a serious relationship with someone in Michigan!.

Are there a lot of opportunities in Chicago for theater/actors!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you can take the cold (worse than NYC!) absolutely!. There are so many incredible theatre companies and different opportunities to get you set for New York!. Steppenwolf (who have many Bway transfer that have won TONYs, not to mention so many people coming out of there) and so many more amazing ones!. Take a look:

Yes it is good!. Many good theatres and a lot of commercial and industrial work!. There are also many independent films, and a few big movies and TV shows that shoot in town!. More on being a Chicago actor here:
