No need for an agent yet,
get a HEADSHOT and make your RESUME first (:
since you want to be an extra heres a good site,
http://actinginfo!.blogspot!.com/
its all disney channel auditions!.
all you do is send in your resume and headshot, if they like you, they call you, and you fly to see them!.
on this website they also have info on how to make a resume for a beginner and the difference between a good, and bad headshot and also how to be professional at a call back!.
-everything you need!.

Your best bet is to first get some experience!.Whether it be in a school play, or a local theater group!.Acting doesn't work the way you at least come off as thinking it does, there is no magical way to become the next Drew Barrymore or whomever over night!.

If there is a local theatre that has auditions for people your age over night also check that out!.Only after you get experience would I suggest hiring a talent agent!.You aren't magically going to become an actress with 0 experience!.

Sometimes there are ads in the newspaper looking for extras in small time things, perhaps check those out!.Only after you have some experience and film reels to show perspective talent agents would I suggest finding one!.

also there are acting classes that you can take!.You don't say what kind of actress you want to be, but checking out the local comedy clubs and working out material there can't hurt!.

There is no magical solution, you just have to work work work!.You also can't be insecure or afraid of rejection!.You also have to be prepared to have your every move scrutinized!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you haven't already done so, you should sign up for acting lessons privately and join your school's drama club and class as an elective for extra practice!. Then you should try out for school plays and maybe tryout at a local community theater!.

Then go to a photographer or portrait studio and get some headshots done!. Those are pictures just of your neck and face!. It's required to have when you go on auditions!. They should be 8 by 10 and black and white!. Once you have those, sign up with a local talent agency!. make sure they don't charge you any fees because if they do then they are a scam!. Real talent agencies require you to have your headshots before they even consider adding you on as a client!.

Once you are signed with a talent agency, he or she will find you auditions to go to usually in the nearby biggest city where you live!. They will probably be for commercials and parts as extras and if you get any small jobs you can build up your acting resumes and eventually get bigger roles!. But all the juicy roles and parts always audition in LA!. Good luck!!

I'm 15, and my entire family is in the movie/ television business!. My father is an art director, and my mother is an actress!. So me and my older sister have been doing TV, radio, and theater since we could lift our heads up, and have had agents since we were born!. IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS BUSINESS YOU NEED AN AGENT!.Because of my family history, i never had to "find" an agent, but i have seen them turn people away for countless stupid reasons, and you need to be prepared for the harshest business in America!. First off, you need experience!. I'm not saying school play, I'm saying on camera classes, theater workshops, voice over specialists!. ANYTHING to put on a resume that shows these people you are 100% serious!. Do NOT go in wearing too much make-up, they WILL be very blunt with you and tell you!. You must make yourself extremely open, welcoming and upbeat!. Someone they would be proud to send out to their clients for auditions!. Just smile!.
