Question: 13 year old, wants to act!?

im getting my head shots in like a month, because i have to pay for it, and since my bat mitzvah is next week i will hopefully get enough money to pay for head shots!.

i have a talent agency in mind [ cr kids talent ] whom i have met with last year!. and they want me, i just need my head shots!.

i have no experience but i have many talents: gymnastics, dance, singing!.

ive never tried acting but ive wanted to become an actress since i was 7!.

i live in la, which is very convenient!.

i told my mom that i want to take acting classes so i can have more experience!.

my family friend is a director so he said i can be an extra in some of his movies!.

so do i not have enough experience to act and geet a major role!? do you know of any acting classes in the los angeles area!? and what exactly happens at an acting audition!? what do you wear!? dress the part of just be yourself!?

Unlike most of the people who ask this question, it sounds like you've really done your homework!.

CR Talent looks like a legitimate agency (I googled them) and you live in an area where there's a lot of production going on!.

Other than that, there's no way to know how you will fare!. I do know that you can't expect to get a major role right off the bat!. Most kids start out in commercials and small TV roles, and go from there, if they have talent and dedication!.

Acting classes are a very good idea at your age!. Ask around; your agent may have some suggestions!. Get to know other kids in the business (talk to them in the audition waiting rooms), and ask for their recommendations!.

You will need the help and support of you parents!. Minors must be accompanied by a minor on set (and you will need them to take you to auditions)!.

When you get an audition for a speaking part, they will send you the lines (sides) ahead of time for you to learn!. Try not to over-learn them!. What directors really want is kids who look and sound natural!. Just wear what you would wear to school, as long as it's clean and neat, and be yourself!.

It's important to convey a confident attitude, so try not to look nervous (even though you will be!)!.

It doesn't sound like you have much experience at all, but you're defiantly on the right path!. If you're serious, try community theatre first, or being an extra would work too just to get some audition experience and stage time!. Nobody starts at the top remember!.

I wouldn't go all out and dress exactly like the character you're auditioning for, but showing a little spirit might help!. In your accessories or makeup a bit maybe!?

For sure take classes or get a coach!. You can never go wrong with more practice!.

acting is excellent, help Hollywood get even better!

When you arrive to audition, they will ask you with a panel of 2 auditors what you like and how are you!? what is so unique about you and what do you like doing to entertain people, you dance sing , good and say you are amazing with acrobats and gym and m,aybe they'll put you on a action movie someday with amazing swimming scenes where you rescue a dolphin!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

just see how it goes with the cating agency!. if it's a legit one then they'll tell u if ur natural or if u need lessons ! the most improtant thing tho is knowin u can do something and believing it! if u doubt urself even just a bit then ur chances of not makin it will go sky high! otherwise ur very talented and being as versatile as u are i'm sure u'll always have open options!. wishing u all the best and luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i dont know, but good luck on your bat mitzvah i had mine a year and a half agoWww@QuestionHome@Com

I'm 15, and my entire family is in the movie/ television business!. My father is an art director, and my mother is an actress!. So me and my older sister have been doing TV, radio, and theater since we could lift our heads up, and have had agents since we were born!. IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS BUSINESS YOU NEED AN AGENT!.Because of my family history, i never had to "find" an agent, but i have seen them turn people away for countless stupid reasons, and you need to be prepared for the harshest business in America!. First off, you need experience!. I'm not saying school play, I'm saying on camera classes, theater workshops, voice over specialists!. ANYTHING to put on a resume that shows these people you are 100% serious!. Do NOT go in wearing too much make-up, they WILL be very blunt with you and tell you!. You must make yourself extremely open, welcoming and upbeat!. Someone they would be proud to send out to their clients for auditions!. Just smile!.

good luck Www@QuestionHome@Com
