Where do auditions take place?

Question: Where do auditions take place!?

Not so much where to find them because I want to audition but I'm asking for a typical environment that they take place in!. A hotel, studio!?

I'm writing a book and a specific scene involves an acting audition!. I really just wondering on a location!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My knowledge is based solely on the Toronto area!.

Most casting agents buy or rent a building somewhere in the film district!. It's often a converted warehouse or other industrial building that's been converted to lofts or offices!. They're pretty humble places, really!. Nothing fancy!.

You sign in when you get there with the assistant, and they usually take your picture, or you give them a pic and resume!. There's a waiting room where the talent sits nervously while they wait for their audition!. The audition room is usually mostly empty!. There's a camera setup, and maybe a table and chairs for the casting agent and director!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
